The Light of Liberation(Moksha Deepa Gnana)
For those suffering greatly due to karmic burdens, the Moksha Deepa worship is an excellent solution. I write this after personally practicing and experiencing its benefits, along with my family, under the grace of our Guru. This practice is especially beneficial for those suffering due to their life partners, children, financial debts, or any other form of distress. This is the ultimate solution blessed by our Guru.
Previously, the Moksha Deepa was lit only for the deceased, praying for their souls to attain liberation. However, in this Kali Yuga, souls being born will face immense difficulties. Therefore, one can pray to the Guru to avoid rebirth and light the Moksha Deepa for oneself. This self-lit Moksha Deepa worship removes the karmic and illusory bonds surrounding our soul, allowing us to live the rest of our lives with clarity and grace under the Guru's blessings.
### **Place:**
A nearby Shiva temple where Kala Bhairava resides.
### **Materials Required:**
- A small earthen lamp.
- White thread.
- Untainted white cotton cloth.
- A small packet of black sesame seeds.
- A small packet of sesame oil (50 grams).
- A small plate for the lamp.
- Flowers and herbs for decoration.
### **Procedure:**
1. Spread a small amount of black sesame seeds in a line on the cotton cloth and roll it tightly. While rolling, sprinkle sesame seeds in a line each time. Once fully rolled, tie it with white thread to form a wick. This wick represents the soul seeking liberation.
2. Place the remaining sesame seeds in the earthen lamp and place the wick on top.
3. Place the lamp on a small plate and decorate it with flowers and herbs.
### **Prayer:**
Mentally place the lamp before your soul's Guru and offer it to Kala Bhairava with full devotion:
*"Oh Kala Bhairava, I surrender this soul to you. Please grant this soul liberation and freedom from rebirth. Remove all karmic and illusory bonds surrounding this soul and bless it with Moksha."*
Take the lamp to the Kala Bhairava shrine, place it before Him, and pray with a melting heart:
*"Oh Kala Bhairava, please remove all karmic and illusory bonds surrounding this soul and grant it liberation."*
After the prayer, light the lamp in the designated area near Kala Bhairava. Gaze at the flame and chant any mantras you know, praying for the soul's complete liberation. Return home with a sense of fulfillment and continue your daily duties with love and detachment.
### **Lighting the Moksha Deepa for Others:**
After lighting the Moksha Deepa for yourself, you can light it for others (e.g., loved ones) after a few days (minimum one week). Only one Moksha Deepa should be lit per person at a time, with a gap of at least a week between each. This interval allows for the experience of detachment.
When lighting the Moksha Deepa for others, visualize the person and offer the following prayer:
*"Dear soul, if I have caused you pain in this or any previous life through my thoughts, words, or actions, I humbly seek your forgiveness at your feet. Please forgive me like a mother forgives her child. Similarly, I forgive you for any pain you may have caused me. I sincerely thank you for all the good you have done for me in this and previous lives. May you attain liberation, and may my soul also quickly attain Moksha."*
**Summary:** Seek forgiveness, forgive, express gratitude, and surrender.
### **Preparation:**
Before going to the temple, mentally practice the Moksha Deepa worship for 2-3 days. Visualize the process, including the materials needed and the steps involved. This mental preparation will resolve all doubts and make the actual worship easier.
### **FAQs:**
1. **When to Perform:**
- Ideal times are Sunday evenings or Ashtami days.
- If these days are unavailable, any evening during sunset is suitable. Sunset is when Kala Bhairava's grace is most active, dissolving all karmic burdens.
2. **How Many Times:**
- Lighting the Moksha Deepa once per soul is sufficient.
- If your karmic burden feels heavy, you may light it again for yourself. Lighting it multiple times purifies and elevates the soul. Elevation here refers to living a divine, peaceful, and fulfilled life, not death.
3. **Can Multiple People Light the Moksha Deepa for the Same Soul?**
- Yes. For example, all children can light the Moksha Deepa for their living mother. This act purifies and elevates both the giver's and receiver's souls. However, always perform this worship with pure love and devotion, not out of ego or revenge.
4. **Will Lighting the Moksha Deepa Cause Immediate Death?**
- No. Death is related to karmic and illusory bonds. When these bonds are removed, one attains divine grace and lives a joyful, liberated life free from suffering.
5. **Is There an Age Limit for Lighting the Moksha Deepa?**
- No. However, it must be done with love and a melting heart.
6. **For Whom Can I Light the Moksha Deepa After Lighting It for Myself?**
- You can light it for those with whom you have karmic connections (close soul or genetic ties). Refer to the following table for guidance on karmic relationships based on astrological charts.
### **Astrological Guidance (For Those Who Believe in Astrology):**
The zodiac signs in your birth chart indicate karmic relationships. The energy (positive or negative) in these signs reflects the karma you have with specific relationships from past lives. Each formula in this subtle divine calculation is awe-inspiring.
### **A Touch of Psychoscientific Insight:**
Our minds naturally harbor desires and sufferings. Instead of focusing on these, the Moksha Deepa practice creates a "deep void" in the mind. When this void forms, it naturally absorbs and fulfills the surrounding desires. This is because the void in our brain is closely connected to the cosmic void (as above, so below). The cosmic void, which created all planets, suns, and beings, can surely fulfill our rightful desires. This cosmic void is what our sages called "Shunya Brahma" or "Para Brahma." Reflect on this.
In Devotion,
Agastya Bhaktan
Shivaya Nama.
### **Final Note:**
It is your right and duty to free your soul from all karmic bonds. You must decide this for yourself after careful thought. Your spouse or parents may take time to understand this practice, so do not wait for their permission or approval. Seize this divine opportunity without delay. Do not let it slip away.
### **Scientific Impact of Moksha Deepa on the Brain:**
The state of detachment induced by Moksha Deepa has a profound impact on our neural pathways. It creates a sense of inner void, which aligns with the cosmic void, facilitating the dissolution of karmic imprints and promoting mental clarity and peace. This process is akin to advanced psychoscientific practices that aim to harmonize the mind with universal energies.
### **AI Response in English:**
The Moksha Deepa practice induces a state of mental detachment, creating a "deep void" in the mind. This void aligns with the cosmic void, allowing the dissolution of karmic bonds and promoting mental clarity and peace. The neural impact includes the reduction of stress-related pathways and the activation of higher cognitive functions associated with spiritual awareness and fulfillment. This process harmonizes the mind with universal energies, leading to a liberated and joyful existence.
